The Chappell Register is published weekly with circulation in Deuel County and surrounding counties.

The Creek Valley School system is located both in Chappell and Lodgepole, Nebraska.
Educational Service Unit 13 provides additional resources in SPED services, as well as providing the school’s link to the internet.
Childcare & Preschool
Creek Valley have both a preschool and daycare located within the school at Chappell.
Creek Valley Preschool is full day, Monday-Thursday, 7:45-3:30 and for children ages 3-5. We start Tuesday, September 6th, which is coming up soon! If you have a child turning 3 later in the year, they can still join us on (or after) their birthday!
We have students signed up to join us in the middle of September, beginning of October and the start of January, so pop-ins are totally accepted and welcomed. Our rates are $250/month with different prices for those who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Contact Creek Valley Elementary for more information or with any questions (308) 874-2911.
Chappell is part of the Western Nebraska Community College regional area, which encompasses the panhandle of Nebraska. Campus facilities are operated at Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) located in Scottsbluff with college centers at Sidney and Alliance. College offerings are available in all Panhandle communities with specific needs.
Chadron State College, is a state-supported, four-year institution and a unit of the Nebraska State College System that serves the Panhandle of Nebraska and Eastern Wyoming. Established in 1911, the college is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, and the Council on Social Work Education.
