Hardy attended a City Council meeting to discuss moisture problems in
the basement. As a result a mold expert from Scottsbluff visited the library
and found mold in the drywall in the basement kitchen. The expert will
send a report on what needs to be done to rectify the situation. He did
say the cabinets could be salvaged if pulled away from the wall and sprayed
with a Clorox solution. The storeroom and bathroom both have areas where
the paint is peeling off, these need to be scraped and sprayed with a
Clorox solution before using Kilz and paint. The paneling should come
down so the walls may be treated.
The board also discussed putting covers on the three basement window
wells.
Being no other business, Mauthe moved, McNabb seconded for adjournment.
All ayes. Adjournment at 5:25 p.m.
